Dharamshala Attraction

Tsuglagkhang is the most important Buddhist monument in McLeodganj. Here lies the Dalai Lama's residence, monastery, museum, library etc.It is easily accessible and everybody around is very warm and friendly. One is free to go anywhere except to Dalai lama's residential areas. Here you'll always find people busy with their daily prayers, It's a joy to see them praying.

St.John's Church

This is a living example of excellence of British architecture , which also houses a memorial of Lord Elgin, the British Viceroy who died in 1963 and also an old graveyard. An old bell hangs down from ceiling . Sorrounding the church are thick deodar trees where one can easily locate the great himalayan black face langoors. This church has some fine Belgian stained glass windows donated by Lady Elgin.

Dal lake

This is the lake that is captevating partly because of the greenery of surrounding deodar /pine trees which reflect in the lake water. The greenery of the conical trees and the beauty of the park makes this place a very very good picnic spot.

Triund

Triund is on the foothills of Dhauladhar range and is 17 km from Dharamshala and a 9 km trek from McLeodganj passing through Dharamkot at a height of 2,827 mtrs. The breathtaking views of the mountains and the valleys make Triund an ideal spot.

Dharamshala

Situated at a lower edge of McLeodganj, Dharamshala is a small hill station of Himachal Pradesh with great variations, not only in levels and temperature but also in character. It provides a range of interesting experiences and activities for the visitor. Tourists can take a long walk through thickly forested pine forests of Dhauladhar ranges.
